Get Involved with this Fantastic Cause
Delighted to introduce you. A bit of the background to this project. I am usually motivated by social causes that I have had direct involvement. In my day job working for the Islamic Society of Britain who run a project to engage with residents of care homes in Manchester. Our young volunteers homes to run interactive sessions with some of the residents including telling jokes, picture quizzes, singalong and occasionally playing live music. We know many are suffering from dementia. This approach has proved very successful that we are rolling the project across Manchester.
The pandemic restricted us to delivering these session via Zoom. We also trialled a live music performance which proved very popular. Given many have little or no contact with their families during the pandemic, I felt strongly that as I had connections with talented musicians like Steve from personal music projects, we would organise an online concert but also use it to fundraise for Alzheimer's Society to support their work on dementia. We hope this unique event will bring a bit of cheer to the residents in care homes but also their families who may have not seen or met each other for almost a year.
We hope if you can help promote this event proactively through all networks we shall raise a significant amount for Alzheimer's Society. This is the third online event I have organised during the pandemic for causes that I feel strongly about. GRAND OCCASIONS
We have recently had two residents who have reach 100 years of age in October 2020. Despite COVID-19 restrictions we were able to celebrate the grand occasions with both residents.

Our apartment of the moment is a beautiful, spacious apartment that has its own private garden. The apartment has recently had a complete refurbishment, brand new fitted carpets, a new kitchen flooring and the bathroom has been re-tiled and has been fitted with a new suite.
